Peace In Birth Doula LLC

Rooted in Care, Guided by Purpose
"Birth is a rite of passage of women. Their journey should be honored, their rights should be fiercely protected, and their stories should be shared." - Marcie Macari

My Calling to Birthwork
My obsession with all things birthy began in 2022 when I became pregnant with my first child. Sadly that birth didn’t go as planned — I left that experience feeling unheard, unsupported, and alone. That moment changed everything for me. I realized how much women need support. During my second pregnancy, I felt a strong pull toward birth work. After my son was born I decided to take the leap and begin my training with DONA.
I became a doula because I’m deeply passionate about birth, and the incredible strength of women. I love helping women understand the beauty and power of physiological birth, and I believe that when a woman is supported, informed, and listened to, she can move into motherhood with confidence.
The Meaning Behind the Name
Peace in Birth: A Deeper Meaning
Peace in Birth comes from a parable I once heard in a Sunday Sermon. The story is about two painters in a competition. They are told to each paint a pictureof "peace."

The first painting was of a calm lake and tranquil skies. The second was of a raging storm and crashing waves. Yet in the midst of the storm, there was a tiny bird sitting on a rock.

You see true peace isn't about perfection, control or the absence of hardship. Its the presence of calm in the midst of the storm.

To me, Peace in Birth is about holding that same space. Birth can be intense, unpredictable, powerful. But within it, there can be grounding and deep inner stillness. I believe peace in birth isn't something that you stumble upon— it's something you're held in, even in the wildest moments. That's the kind of support I offer.
